From the village of Wengen there is a short hike out to the Hunnenfluh via the Ledi. At the Ledi, enjoy stunning postcard views of the Lauterbrunnen valley, Jungfraujoch, Breithorn and surrounding mountains.
And if you can’t get enough of these views and would prefer to stay here forever and ever… also check-out our Chalet Ledibach and Chalet Hunnenfluh and make yourself right at home at the Ledi!
For those wanting to do Wengen Hiking which is a little bit longer, a smaller mountain track continues up from the Hunnenfluh up towards the Leiterhorn. At the Leiterhorn, you can make use of the outdoor public grill spot and soak in the views back towards Wengen and the Lauterbrunnen valley as well as the views of the snowy massive Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.
The Leiterhorn’s northern viewing point also gives you views towards the Schynige Platte and Interlaken.
To make a round Wengen hiking trip, descend on the path to the east to take you back on another charming path back into the village of Wengen.
Even more Wengen Hiking options if your legs aren’t yet tired – continue out to the Spätenalp and on down to Burglauenen. At Spätenalp, don’t forget to stop at the alp and buy some traditional cheese.
If you do make it down to Burglauenen, it’s quite a steep walk down – but don’t forget you don’t need to walk back up – you can also pick up the train from Burglauenen to Zweilütschinen and then back to Wengen via Lauterbrunnen.
